Hertha BSC is a matter close to my heart.
Since 2023 I am documenting the football culture around Hertha BSC. The raw expression of emotions, the unbounded joy, the hug with strangers. Thats whats football is making unique.
Football is not about the rich oppertunistic business men, it is not about the millionairs kicking the ball, it is about the sense of belonging,
about community, about us the fans.
That is why I chose documenting fans, rituals and atmosphere over classical sports photography.
I want you to feel the beer on your skin in the split second of a goal, hear the roar of hoarse voices, smell the pyro.
